Destruction of Records
The Rose Academies will destroy all special education data on students four fiscal years after students have withdrawn, transferred or graduated from the Rose Academies. Records may be kept beyond this period only where required by law or regulation, or if there is pending litigation. This includes all inactive records dated prior to June 30, 2007. Before records are destroyed, parents and/or students over the age of 18 have the right to review and/or obtain copies of records. This Student Handbook is designed to provide the student and parent/ legal guardian with basic information regarding policies and procedures. All policies are subject to change, and any changes made to policy may or may not be updated within this Student Handbook. Therefore, any changes made to policies will override and take the place of the policy written in this handbook. A complete policy manual is kept on file in the Principal’s office for your review and the most current policy manual is kept in the office of the Superintendent. The Rose Academies consist of Canyon Rose Academy (CRA), Desert Rose Academy (DRA), Mountain Rose Academy (MRA), and Pima Rose Academy (PRA).
Special Education policies, approved by the Department of Education, are in place and available for review upon request.
Any questions that you may have about this Student Handbook or any of the policies and procedures of the Rose Academies should be directed to the Principal.
